Mor (Buttermilk) Pandhal started at Kalavai Mutt

A Mor Pandhal (a place where free cooling buttermilk is served) has been started near the Kalavai Mutt where Kanchi Shankaracharya Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal has been camping.

Thousands of devotees visit the Kalavai Mutt daily to seek the blessings of Sri Acharya. The visiting devotees and the local people of Kalavai have been struggling to cope with the extremely hot climate. Even the kids studying in the school near the Mutt are facing the same problem.

Noticing this situation, Sri Acharya has asked the Mutt employees to start a mor pandhal for the general public and the visiting devotees. The Mutt has assigned one of its employees specifically for taking care of this. The mor pandhal will be open daily from morning 9.00 A.M to evening 6.00 P.M, which will distribute free buttermilk to everyone.
