Bail plea of Kanchi Junior Acharya adjourned
Agencies/ Chengalpattu (TN)
A fast track court here Wednesday adjourned to January 25 the hearing of the bail plea of Kanchi Mutt Junior pontiff Vijayendra Saraswathi.
The bail petitions of Raghu, brother of Vijayendra Saraswathi and Mutt Manager Sundaresa Iyer were also adjourned to the same day, by Judge S Vanagamudi.
The Judge adjourned the case after prosecution sought time to enable Supreme Court senior advocate K T S Tulsi to appear on its behalf.
The counsels for the three objected to the adjournment. The Judge assured that there would be no further adjournment.
The Junior acharya was arrested in connection with the Sankararaman murder case on January 10, the day when Kanchi Seer Vijayendra Saraswathi was released on bail from the Vellore prison.
