Denial of court papers irks mutt counsel
Wednesday February 2 2005 00:00 IST
KANCHEEPURAM: The advocates representing the Mutt and other accused in the Kanchi Sankararaman murder case are upset over the denial of access to them to certain court documents pertaining to the case while allowing the prosecution to have unhindered access to these records.Repeated petitions to the Kancheepuram Judicial Magistrate-I court seeking copy applications of remand report, remand extension orders and orders passed in the police custody petition filed by the prosecution had gone in vain, the advocates complained.
The advocates have now written a letter highlighting their grievances to the Chief Justice of Madras High Court and Chairman of National Human Rights Commission.
