Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal visits several temples near Kalavai[Excerpts from: http://www.dailythanthi.com ]
The Kanchi Acharya Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal visited four different temples in and around Kalavai and has agreed to conduct Kumbabishekam to one of the temples.
When the Acharya visited the Angaala Amman temple located at Rantham village near Kalavai, the devotees welcomed the Acharya by bursting crackers and garlanding the Acharya with ‘vilva’ leaves. The Acharya offered his prayers at the temple. The Acharya also agreed to the request of the people to complete the Kumbabishekam of that temple.
Later, the Acharya visited the Renukambaal temple located near the Kalavai-Thimiri road. After offering his prayers at the temple, the Acharya spoke to the devotees assembled there saying: “It is necessary that all of us pray to our ‘Kula’ Daivatha and the Goddess”. The Acharya also urged the women to take-up self-employment for their well being.
After visiting and offering his prayers at the Bajanai temple and Mariamman temple located at Maettu Colony, the Acharya left for the Kalavai Shankara Mutt.
