Sri Jayendrar appeals to Supreme Court
www.dinakaran.comPondicherry Mar 21: It was reported in Pondicherry Sessions court yesterday that an appeal has been filed to the Supreme court on behalf of Sri Jayendrar protesting the involvement of Tamil Nadu government counsels in the prosecution team.
Currently, hearing on Sankararaman murder case is held at Pondicherry Sessions court. Sri Jayendrar, Sri Vijayendrar and 22 others attended the hearing yesterday. Venkateswaran, counsel from Mumbai represented Sri Jayendrar for the hearing. He declared in his statement that a petition filed in High Court protesting the participation of Tamil Nadu government lawyers. This petition was rejected by the High Court. “We have appealed against this decision in Supreme Court and a hearing is scheduled on this on the 27th.” An adjournment of hearing after that was requested.
Upon this, Judge Chinnapandi adjourned the hearing to 28th. Tamil Nadu government lawyers argued against Venkateswaran's statement.
