The Sankararaman case came up for hearing today at the Pondicherry Court. All of the
co-accused except Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal and Satish were present.
As soon as proceedings began, Lakshman Reddy, the counsel for Sri Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal along with Karthikeyan, counsel for Raghu, filed a petition in the court. The petition stated that there was no basis for this accusation against them and they should be discharged from the case. The petition was accepted by Chief Justice Chinna Pandi who ordered the government counsel to file a reply. Maatu Bhaskar and Anil Kumar also filed petitions with the court requesting that they be released on bail.
