Music event to be conducted at Kalavai Shankara Mutt

More than 40 Thavil Vidhvans are expected to take part in a Katcheri (music event) to be conducted at the Kalavai Shankara Mutt on 17th of April on account of Sri Rama Navami.

Currently, Vasantha Navarathri pooja is being conducted everyday at the Kalavai Mutt by the Kanchi Acharya Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal. On the last day of the pooja [17th April], Sri Rama Navami Uttsavam will be celebrated. After the Sri Rama Navami pooja on 17th, a Katcheri involving more than 40 Thavil Vidhvans is to be conducted at the Mutt. Several thousands of devotees are expected to take part in the Katcheri.
