http://www.dinamani.com/NewsItems.asp?ID=DNL20060911083258&Title=Latest+News+Page&lTitle=L%FBP%A3+%F9Nn%A7Ls&Topic=0Chennai: General Secretary of AIADMK, Jayalalitha released a statement condemning the suspension of SP Premkumar with regards to the Sankararaman murder case in which Sri Jayendrar was accused.
The statement is as follows:
“The DMK government is contempt for laws is now extended to the judicial system also.
Sri Jayendrar and Sri Vijayendrar and others were arrested with regards to the murder case of Varadaraja Perumal temple manager, Sankararaman. This case is under the jurisdiction of Pondicherry High Court.
The DMK Minister K.C.Mani has gone and met with the primary accused in this case, Sri Jayendrar.
The DMK government is trying to dilute this case and has suspended the investigator SP Premkumar. The public can forget about this case now.
Similarly, M.K.Azhagiri and his group were arrested and charged in the murder case of former minster T.Krishnan. It should be noted that M.K.Azhagiri is Chief Minister Karunanidhi’s son. The government counsel appointed by Karunanidhi will be appearing on behalf of the government against the accused.
The special investigator in this case Marimuthu has also been suspended and is in a condition where he has to appear before the court and sign everyday.
On the other hand M.K.Azhagiri is going around with all the police escort.
While Muneer Hoda , completely convicted of acting without the IAS qualification, is working as a high ranking officer in Chief Minsiter’s office. SP Premkumar and Marimuthu who performed their duty are suspended.
This is proof how much the law and order is at risk in Tamil Nadu and it is God who should save the state from such chaos.”
