Junior Acharya’s bail plea adjourned to April 11th

Chennai: Kanchi Junior Acharya Sri Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal’s petition requesting the High court to relax the bail condition has been adjourned to April 11th.

As per the bail conditions, the Junior Acharya is required to stay within Chennai limits and must report at Thousand Lights police station every Sunday.

After satisfying the conditions of the bail for two months, the Junior Acharya has now appealed to the Chennai High Court to relax the conditions. This petition was heard yesterday by High Court Judge Thanikachalam. The Junior Acharya was represented in Court by lawyer Sathya Narayanan. The police were represented by lawyer Jaya Kumar and Jaya Prakash Narayanan. The petition was strongly opposed by the Government lawyers. Later, the Judge adjourned the case to April 11th.
