Jayendra Swamigal visits Nagai temples

NAGAPATTINAM: The head of Kanchi Mutt, Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal, visited various temples in
Nagapattinam district on Friday. He was accorded a rousing reception by the devotees everywhere.

Jayendra first visited the Vaitheeswarankoil temple, proceeded to Thiruvenkadu near Sirkazhi and offered worship at the samadhi of Sri Paramasivendra Swamigal, the 57th head of the Kanchi Mutt, on the banks of the Manikarnika river.

Later, the seer visited the Lord Amirthagateswarar temple at Thirukkadaiyur near Porayar. He also visited the Dharmapuram Mutt near Mayiladuthurai.
