Verdict on Petition by Sri Vijayendrar postponed to March 8th
http://www.dinamalar.com/2006mar04/court_ind4.aspPondicherry: Judge Chinnapandi postponed verdict on petition submitted by Sri Vijayendrar and Raghu to dismiss the charges against them.
Currently, Chief Justice Chinnapandi is conducting hearings on the murder case of Kanchi Varadaraja Perumal Temple manager, Sankararaman in Pondicherry Sessions court. A petition was filed 25th of last month on behalf of Sri Vijayendrar and Raghu citing lack of evidence supporting charges against them.
After accepting the petition, Judge Chinnapandi requested the prosecution to file statements on their behalf. Counsels Kandasamy and Balasundaram filed statements last 23rd protesting the petition. Hearing on this petition began yesterday in Pondicherry. Twenty-two of the accused except Sri Jayendrar and Sri Vijayendrar were present during the hearing. Judge Chinnapandi enquired reasons for their absence and accepted the explanation that was provided.
After hearing arguments from both sides, Judge postponed verdict on the petition to March 8th. Four of the accused including Anilkumar, Anandkumar, K.S.Kumar filed a petition applying for bail and judge promised to give an order on the bail on Mar 8th.
