Kalavai March 4: On the Kanchi Sankaramatam's 67th Peetaadipathi, Chandrasekara Swamigal's Mukti Day, special pujas were conducted before Jayendra Swamigal in Kalavai.67th Peetaadipathi:
The 67th Peetaadipathi of Kanchi Sankaramatam was Chandrasekara Swamigal. His samadhi and the 66th Peetaadipathi, Paramaguru Mahadev Swamigal's samadhi are in Brindavanam in Kalavai, Velur District.
On the day of Chandrasekara Swamigal attained mukti, puja and araadhana took place yesterday in Brindavanam. For this, yesterday morning 7:30 am, the aaradhana started at Kalavai Brindavanam. 32 Veda Virpannas took part in this.
Before Jayendra Swamigal:
At 11 am, before Jayendra Swamigal, the special puja, aaradhana took place. Then, abishekam was done to the Swami's samadh, [where he] attained mukti. Then, the 32 Veda Virpanners who took part [in the puja], wearing garlands, received new clothes, rice, baskets and vessels.
