Well known Tamil writer meets Acharya and seeks blessings

Kalavai: Jayakanthan, a well known Tamil writer and recent winner of prestigious Jnanpith award, met the Kanchi Acharya Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal at the Kalavai Mutt yesterday and sought his blessings. His meeting with the Acharya lasted for an hour. The Acharya congratulated Jayakanthan for winning the prestigious Jnanpith award recently and gave him the title of ‘Yezhuthu Arasan’ [Lit. Tamil: King of words]. He also honored Jayakanthan with a Navarathina mala and blessed him. Jayakanthan thanked the Acharya for the blessings. Pasupathi, the Kanchipuram district secretary for Jan Kalyan, was also present with the Acharya during the meeting.
