Madhavan assault case: Acharya to seek relaxation in bail conditions

KANCHEEPURAM: Kanchi acharya Jayendra Saraswati, who was granted anticipatory bail in the Tirukottiyur Madhavan assault case, is likely to seek relaxation in the bail conditions.Sources close to the Mutt said the seer would file a petition before the Principal Sessions Court in Chennai in the next few days seeking modification of its order, dated February 24, wherein it had ordered the seer to present himself before the Kanchi SIT team on Tuesdays and whenever required.
Praying that the timings specified in the order would impede his poojas, seer’s counsel K S Dinakar would file the petition, sources said.
The seer had sought anticipatory bail in the case and it was granted by the Principal Sessions Court.
Along with the seer, four employees of TVS were also granted bail in the case.
