Vyasa Pooja - July 2006

Sri Periyavaal inaugurated this Patashala in Ramnathapuram Village in Palghat on June 07, 2006. The patashala is named after the Mahaswami. It is called Sri Chadrsekarendra Saraswathi Sankaracharya Veda Patashala. The patashala is designed and executed by a well known architect from Coimbatore. It can accommodate up to 100 students. Plans are afoot to teach all 4 vedas, and encourage higher studies as well.

This patashala could be setting standards for others to follow by the manner in which it is conceived. Any one planning to visit Palghat in the near future must make it a point to visit this patashala.

At The Thanthra Vidyapeeth

Sri Periyavaal visited the Thanthra Vidyapeeth much to the delight of the people there. He had inaugurated the place several years ago.

Ceremonial Welcome at Vadakkunatha Swamy Temple, June 04, 2006

Sri Periyavaal visited the famous Vadakkunatha Swamy temple and offered Gold Vilva Malai to the Lord. (Vadakkunatha Swamy is the one who granted the boon of an illustrious son to Sivaguru & Aryambal the blessed parents of Sri Adi Sankara). It was a divine experience to have darshan of the Lord along with Sri Periyavaal.

Adhishtanams in Kumbakonam Sankara Mattham

In the northern part of the Sankara Mattham are the three Adhishtanams in a beautiful hall that also displays the unbroken lineage of the Mutt. Devotees make it a point to visit the Adishtanams whenever they visit the Mattham. The peaceful ambience there is soothing and inspiring.

Sri Periyavaal visited the Adishtanam of Sri Paramasivendra Saraswathi located in Thiruvengadu. It is located close to Mayavaram, in Tamil Nadu.

At Thirukkadayoor May 29, 2006

Sri Periyavaal had the darshan of Sri Amrithakadeswarar & Ambal Abhirami at this temple. Devotees at the temple going through their Shashtiabda Poorthi were moved to tears with this unexpected blessing received on a day most important to them.

To maintain the sanctity of the temple, we have not shot pictures inside and at the the Sannidhis. However darshan of the deities here is most elevating.

Sri Periyavaal offered a finely crafted Gold Umbrella for the Kodungalur Amman this evening. While the first picture shows the umbrella being seen by everyone in the afternoon, picture two shows Sri Periyavaal walking towards the sannnidhi with the umbrella in hand. A rare sight followed by a rarer Darsananam of the Devi. More pics	At 6:30 am today Sri Periyavaal will be offering these Gold Pada Kavasams to Lord Guruvayurappan

Sri Periyavaal was explaining the nuances of how people use 'Housing Loans' to the Grihasthas around!!	These silver plates are being offered to the Lord this morning at 6:30 am.
Relaxed afternoon in Trissur
Sri Periyavaal was received with proper honours. He went around, did prokshanam in the temple tank, prayed to Lord Vinayaka first and visited the main sannidhis of the reigning God & Goddess - Vaitheeswaran & Thaiyal Nayaki Amman. AKSHAYYA THRITHEEYA PUNYA KALE... Haridwar/Hrishikesh

April 29th, April 30th & May 1st 2006 are days that we can never forget. It was wonderful to watch our Acharya in Haridwar & Rishikesh. The reverence & respect that people show towards him is heart warming. It was touching to see many who came to visit him, talking about experience from 1974, etc. He remembered every one, chatted with people and blessed all.

He braved the heat, negotiated steep climbs and rested very little. His presence at the Sanyasa Sweekarana Ceremony by Swami Govinda Giri (formerly Acharya Kishore Vyas) was a treat to watch. Taking a dip in the Ganges, watching him perform 'Snan, Anushtan & Dhan' on Akshayya Thritheeya Day are a blessing by themselves.
